FGV and Community of Portuguese Language Countries establish partnership

The professor of the Center for Cooperation with Africa and Portugal (NuCAP) of FGV’s International Affairs Division (DINT), Marcus Vinicius Rodrigues, met with the Executive Secretary of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), Maria do Carmo Silveira, at the organization’s main office in Lisbon. During the meeting, FGV revealed its interest in cooperating with the CPLP in the fields of Science, Technology and Higher Education. The CPLP and DINT were also represented by Arlinda Cabral and Carla Winter, respectively.

FGV is currently a Consulting Observer for CPLP, studying and reviewing cooperation projects across multiple management areas through the International Affairs Division.

The Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) is an international organization of Portuguese language countries conceived to strengthen bonds and foster cooperation among its members. It was created in July 17, 1996 by Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and PríncipeEast Timor joined the CPLP after becoming independent in 2002.
