FGV hosts coordination of BRICS Brazil 2025

Institution welcomes diplomats and supports organization of Heads of State Summit in Rio de Janeiro

The Getulio Vargas Foundation has strengthened its strategic partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by hosting, since the beginning of June, the National Coordination responsible for organizing BRICS Brazil 2025. Activities are concentrated in the FGV building located on Rua da Candelária, in downtown Rio de Janeiro, and aim to prepare for the Summit of Heads of State and Government, scheduled for July 6 and 7, at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM).

The initiative is led by the FGV International Affairs Division and reaffirms the institution's role in supporting Brazil in multilateral forums. During the month of June, Brazilian diplomats have been using FGV's facilities for planning meetings and discussions with representatives from other BRICS member countries—China, India, Russia, and South Africa—as well as new members of the group.

FGV's infrastructure in Candelária has been adapted to accommodate diplomatic teams, offering technical and logistical support for the activities. One of the highlights is the participation of students from the FGV Young Ambassador Program, who are volunteering to help organize the summit, expanding their experience in public and international diplomacy events.

The meeting is expected to bring together more than 35 foreign delegations, including member countries, BRICS partners, and representatives of international organizations. The Summit will conclude Brazil's presidency of the group in 2025.
