Fundação Getulio Vargas’ International Affairs Division (FGV DINT) has just launched the seventh edition of its Latin American Governability, Political Management and Public Administration Program. The deadline for applications is September 12. The meetings will take place online, via Zoom.
The Governability Program, taught by FGV, was created by the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) in response to Latin America’s governmental challenges. In Brazil alone, more than 400 professionals completed the first six editions of the program.
Critical topics such as strategic governance, government management and the design and implementation of public policies will be addressed in the course, which lasts 160 hours. The focus is on developing the managerial and leadership competencies of local government officials, national and subnational technical teams and professionals in the private sector and civil society.
As well as enabling high-quality networking with fellow professionals, students have the opportunity to develop practical projects related to real issues. The aim is to expand managers’ capacity to solve local challenges by generating consensus and designing innovative and relevant solutions that contribute to the improvement of state management, integral growth and the strengthening of governance.
The online classes, taught by renowned specialists with extensive market experience, will be held on Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. There will also be an in-person meeting in Rio de Janeiro, which will be livestreamed for those who choose to participate virtually. The classes are scheduled to start on September 16, 2023 and end on March 9, 2024.
