FGV signs agreements and expands its partnership with the government of Paraguay

The Paraguayan ministerial mission to São Paulo is part of the strategy to attract investments from companies to integrate the productive industrial chains between both countries.

The international director of FGV, Marlos Lima, has received early November, at FGV, in São Paulo, an official delegation from the Paraguayan government, led by the Minister of Trade and Industry (MIC), Luis Alberto Castiglioni, for the conclusion of cooperation agreements between the FGV and the MIC, and between the FGV and the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Paraguay (MRE).

The Paraguayan ministerial mission to São Paulo is part of the strategy to attract investments from companies to integrate productive industrial chains between both countries, using the comparative advantages in installation and production under the distinctive tributary regimes in Paraguay.

“The activities involving the FGV and the Paraguayan government are increasing and reflect the relevance that the neighboring country gives to the qualification of their staff in their public sector. The new agreements signed with the MIC and the MRE add to the agreements and the ongoing activities involving the FGV and the presidency of Paraguay and its Ministry of Public Works and Communications”, commented the minister of Paraguay, Castiglioni.

The visit of the delegation to FGV had the participation of the vice-minister of Economic Relations and Integration of the Foreign Ministry, ambassador Raúl Cano, the vice-minister of Industry of MIC, Ramiro Samaniego, the director of the Investments and Exportations Network of Paraguay, ambassador Stefania Laterza, and of the general consul of Paraguay in São Paulo, ambassador Luis Fernando Avalos. Representing FGV, the international manager, Klaus Stier, also participated in the meeting and the agreement-signing ceremony.

Minister Castiglioni affirmed that the agreements signed are fundamental and contribute to the qualification of Paraguayan people in public and private aspects and that the FGV will play an increasingly important role in Paraguayan development.

“The FGV understands that the Brazilian development must be directly associated to the regional development and contribute, inside your capabilities, to the generation of knowledge and improvement of productivity standards of ours partners and for generation of confidence between Brazil and the neighboring countries”, said the director of FGV, Marlos Lima.
