Fundação Getulio Vargas, through its International Affairs Division (FGV DINT), has just launched the 6th edition of the Latin American Governability, Political Management and Public Administration Program. The deadline for applications is August 24. The meetings will be 100% online, via Zoom.
Created by the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) in response to Latin America’s governmental challenges, the Program has trained more than 23,000 professionals in the region over the last 19 years, including around 350 in Brazil.
Divided in 160 hours, the Program covers topics such as strategic governance, government management and the design and implementation of public policies, the course focuses on developing managerial and leadership competencies for local government authorities, national and subnational technical teams and professionals in the private sector and civil society.
In addition to enabling high-quality networking with fellow professionals, students have the opportunity to develop practical projects related to real issues. The aim is to expand managers’ capacity to solve local challenges by generating consensus and designing innovative and relevant solutions that contribute to the improvement of state management, integral growth and the strengthening of governance.
The online classes will be held on Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm, and on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. There will also be an in-person meeting in Rio de Janeiro, which will be livestreamed for those who choose to participate virtually. The classes are scheduled to start on August 30, 2022, and end on February 11, 2023.
