EPGE - Graduate School of Economics






Director: Professor Renato Fragelli – PhD, EPGE/FGV

Established in 1966, the school offers an undergraduate course, a Master’s Degree and a Doctoral Degree. EPGE is responsible for the introduction of mathematical rigor and theoretical sophistication to the learning and research of economics in Brazil, with considerable impact on public and private management in the country.

For a number of consecutive years, it has been considered the best graduate program in economics in Brazil by the Brazilian regulatory agency, CAPES. Among the names of the professors who have graced the school, which have always included the greatest Brazilian thinkers in economics, is beloved Professor Mário Henrique Simonsen, Minister of State and one of the most eminent Brazilian economists.
