Objective
This course intends to introduce the participants to Portuguese spoken in Rio de Janeiro, highlighting its linguistic and cultural aspects, providing an immersive opportunity as well as practical knowledge and respect to the Brazilian population in different situations, timelines, and spaces.
Target Audience
Anyone interested in learning the Portuguese language or participants of one of FGV’s Program of Business Education.
Methodology
A teacher specialized in teaching Portuguese as a second language will hold 8hrs of lectures followed by guided visits to tourists’ spots in Rio de Janeiro.
This format intends to give the participants the opportunity to learn more about the culture and reality of the city while acclimating to the Portuguese language.
When possible, there will be an introduction to terms related to the participants’ area of study.

Class Schedule and Location
Academic Workload: 16 hours.

Location: at FGV in Rio de Janeiro.
Modality: Presential.
Certification
Students who have a class attendance of at least 75% will receive a Participation Certificate at the end of the course.
